Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. announced this week that Mahopac resident Dante Frazer, 24, is facing DWI charges after he was found shortly before 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, passed out in the front seat of his car at the Mobil station on Route 22.
A Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the Brewster Mobil station located at 978 Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy reported that he found a man - later identified as Frazer - slumped over the wheel of the car, which was running, with his foot on the brake.
The deputy stated that he made several unsuccessful attempts to wake up Frazer before he could be startled and was arrested at the scene.
Once he was woken up, Frazer proceeded to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and he was charged with a misdemeanor count of aggravated driving while intoxicated because his blood alcohol content was greater than .18 percent. Following arraignment, Frazer was released on his own recognizance and he is due back in Southeast Justice Court later this year to answer the charge.
